KPI Plastic (M) Sdn Bhd was initially known as Kris Plastic Industries. It started its business in 1969 by its founder Mr Yan Thit Khiew which is also its managing director now. Kris Plastic  Industries started with only 3 injection machines. Right now KPI Plastic (M) Sdn Bhd has over 10 injection machines ranging from 50 tons to 160 tons of injection clamping pressure. It also have over 15 blowing machines to produce quality bottles which includes sizes from 8ml eye drop bottles to pharmaceutical containers to high end cosmetic bottles.

KPI also have a printing department to cater for customers who needs to have their bottles printed. The printing process is called silkscreen printing. Currently we have 4 automatics machines, 3 semi-auto machines, a pad print machine and 3 hot stamping machines to produce lining on the cap skirts. Included in the 3 automated machines is the new OMSO Novex M automatic silkscreen machine to produce UV silkscreen printing.

Currently the office and factory are located in Taman Taming Jaya, Balakong in the state of Selangor. It has over 15 units of factory lots which is equivalent to 66,000 sq ft of land. There are over 80 general  workers working in 3 shifts and 6 office staffs.

Products which KPI caters are for Agricultural, Pharmaceutical, Toiletries, Car care products  and Cosmetics.

The current factory location in Balakong, Selangor is getting congested as KPI is expanding with increasing machines and products. We have already purchased a piece of land in Pajam, Nilai with a land space of over 88,000 sq. ft. Drawings for the new factory plans is already underway. If all goes well the new factory will be ready 2-3 years time. With the new factory, all the various department associated in the production and management will be under 1 roof.

70% of KPI products are for the domestic market and the remaining 30% are for exports, mainly to Singapore, Myanmar, India, Hong Kong, USA, Europe and Australia. We envisage our export market to grow further as more enquiries especially from Middle East countries. KPI now is in the process of getting the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 Certificate.
